Data Collection
CableHook Games aims to collect as little data as possible. We do not collect directly identifiable personal data such as names, email addresses, or account identifiers through the Service.
We may collect anonymized data in the following ways:
Gameplay Analytics
We collect anonymous gameplay data, including session starts, game progress, outcomes, and in-game choices such as upgrades or unlocks. This data cannot be linked to individual users and does not include Steam IDs or other account identifiers.
Crash Reports and Diagnostics
To maintain and improve the stability of the Service, we use third-party tools such as Sentry. In the event of a crash or error, limited diagnostic data may be collected, including device and hardware information, error reports, and a small portion of recent log data. This information is not intended to contain personal data.
Website Usage
Our website does not provide account registration or contact forms and does not actively collect personal data. Standard server logs (such as IP addresses and browser information) may be collected automatically by hosting providers for security and operational purposes.
Use of Data
The collected information is used solely to:
- Improve gameplay experience and balance
- Monitor performance and stability
- Identify and fix technical issues
- Analyze general usage trends
Legal Basis
We process data on the basis of legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), specifically to maintain, improve, and secure our Service. Given the limited and anonymized nature of the data, this processing does not override users’ fundamental rights and freedoms.
Third Parties
We do not sell or rent data to third parties.
We rely on the following service providers:
- Platform providers such as Steam (Valve Corporation) and Epic Games, which may process personal data independently under their own privacy policies
- Google Cloud, which provides infrastructure for analytics (EU-based)
- Sentry, which is used for error monitoring and diagnostics
These parties may process data on our behalf where applicable.
International Transfers
Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. In such cases, appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses are applied to ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws.
Data Retention
Analytics and diagnostic data are retained for a maximum period of one (1) year, after which it is deleted or aggregated.
User Rights
Under applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, as well as to restrict or object to processing.
As we do not collect identifiable personal data, we may not be able to associate stored data with a specific individual.
Requests can be submitted via: support@cablehookgames.com
Children
The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Security
CableHook Games takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data against loss or unlawful processing. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
